IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT We have some rather sad news I’m afraid….We’ve made the very difficult decision to sell our premises The Richmond and cease trading after eight fantastic years in operation. Spiralling energy and food costs coupled with staffing shortages this year, have meant we have been stretched too thin. On a personal note, I set Home Cook School up in 2016, from my Home kitchen. Originally the focus of the business was to share my love of home cooking with others through lessons for individuals and groups. Later, as the team grew, we branched into catering for special events and this became one of our core revenue streams. Over the years we have taught and fed thousands of people and enjoyed every moment. We worked hard to maintain a 5 star reputation and focus on our love of good quality food. We eventually grew out of working from my home kitchen and bought the Richmond Hall which I renovated to use as a base for our catering activities, small group lessons and catered functions. We worked tirelessly to develop and improve this beautiful building.We are delighted that the very able, experienced and multi award winning company Make Believe Events - Wedding & Event Decor have purchased the premises and plan to run it as a special events venue. I wish them the very best and am confident they will make a wonderful job of it. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our customers over the years and all the local businesses we’ve partnered with as well as our excellent suppliers. I’d like to personally thank our staff who have been involved in the business over the years. Their charm and creativity will be sorely missed.
